Hi-tet 120 antibiotic is used for the treatment of tick-borne gallsickness, footrot, joint ill, heartwater, navel ill and pneumonia in stock animals (cattle, sheep, goats and pigs. It is also a treatment for strangles in horses. Hi-tet 120 is a key medicine to always have on hand. Hi-tet 120 is a short acting antibiotic.
DOSAGE FORM: Injectable solution.
COMPOSITION: Oxytetracycline hydrochloride 120 mg/ml.
WARNINGS: Keep out of reach of children, uninformed persons, and animals. Do not slaughter animals for human consumption within seven days of the last treatment. Milk from treated cows must not be used for human consumption within 48 hours of treatment. Although this remedy has been extensively tested under a large variety of conditions, failure thereof may ensue as a result of a wide range of reasons. If this is suspected, seek veterinary advice and notify the registration holder.
DOSAGE AND DIRECTIONS FOR USE: Use only as directed. Hi-tet 120 may be administered by the intramuscular or intravenous routes. When given by intramuscular injection, not more than 25 ml should be injected in any one site. If unusual side reactions occur, the use of the drug should be stopped immediately. Intravenous injections should be administered slowly. Hi-tet 120 contains a high concentration of oxytetracycline hydrochloride, resulting in relatively low volume injections. The recommended dose is 2 ml/30 kg, repeated daily as required.
