Who we are
Drs Louis and Barbara Hoek, Alf and Magdalena Lategan always dreamed of opening their own veterinary practice. After working for 2 years in the UK, they found the perfect place, returned home and started CapeCross Veterinary Services in Jeffreys Bay and Oudebosch. The two practices services the area from Port Elizabeth in the East to Tsitsikamma in the West. As the business grew practices were opened in Middelburg and Cradock as well.
The practice has been blessed above measure and today we are thankful to consist of a brilliant team who can provide high quality, comprehensive services to farmers and pet owners.
Our story
CapeCross is a full-service veterinary clinic and hospital for animals. It is the realisation of a dream that veterinary doctors Louis and Barbara Hoek as well as Alf and Magdalena Lategan had to open their own practice. In 2009, after having spent two years in the UK, they were able to find the perfect location and returned home to South Africa, where they became the proud owners of an existing mixed-animal practice near Kareedouw, as well as a brand-new practice in Jeffrey’s Bay.
The two practices cover an area stretching from Port Elizabeth in the east to Tsitsikamma in the west. Today, our hospital for animals consists of a dedicated team of specialists (from veterinarians, nurses and support staff ) with an amazing level of experience in the field that can provide high quality and comprehensive services to animal owners and farmers.
The team have a strong commitment to ensuring the best care and treatment for your pets and animals is readily available. At CapeCross, we are passionate about providing excellent service and making your next trip to the vet a pleasant experience.
